Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance
The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to students, faculty and the Sr. Lab Technicians in the Clinical Skills Lab.  Responsibilities predominantly include setting up and breaking down labs, supporting EVS team with preparation & maintenance of lab equipment, supplies and tissues. 

•    Set up, break down and clean up labs.
•    Aide instructors and students during lab hours
•    Equipment checks before and after labs (all instruments must be accounted for)
•    Ensure that all supplies are stocked in the cabinets daily
•    Record all inventory movement according to CSL record keeping policy
•    Pick up clean and prepare cadaver tissue (porcine bladders and ovine skin) from the      abattoir.
•    Model making and maintenance
•    Preparation of Surgery Packs
•    Completes other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Additional Information

KSAs
Willing to work variable shifts (8:00 - 4:00, 8:30 – 4:30, 9:00 – 5:00) during the week including some holidays
Works well in a team environment
Excellent communication skills
Willing to work with tissues from the abattoir
Cleaning and preparing bladders and skin for labs
Strong work ethic
Willing and able to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
