Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance

This position is responsible for the preparation and filing of federal and international income tax returns.  This position assists the Tax Manager and Director with the quarterly and annual tax provision, including compliance with both US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requirements, as well as maintaining underlying workpapers and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and administers the filing of federal and international income tax returns in a timely manner, including the federal income tax return, including the 1120, 5471s, and 8858s
  • Supports the Tax Manager in the estimated income tax payment process for federal and international jurisdictions 
  • Supports the Tax Manager in the preparation of the quarterly and annual tax provision calculations
  • Assists Tax Manager with tax process improvement projects which may include software implementation, automation, or workpaper improvements
  • Supports Tax Manager with federal audits by providing workpapers and responses to information document requests
  • Participates in special projects as assigned by the Tax Manager.
  • Adheres to internal control / compliance policy procedures and has high consciousness / awareness about the Code of Ethics
  • Maintains memberships in tax professional groups to increase knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Completes other projects and duties as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting required 
  • 2+ years related experience in a corporate income tax environment 
  • Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Corptax, Longview or other database and tax processing software a plus.
  • Have the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Have the ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage assignments in a team environment. 
  • Must have excelllent communication and analytical skills and be a proactive self-starter, willing to assist with different assignements among various tax workstreams. 

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $47766.34 and $86253.75. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
